Computer & Internet Fundamentals
Course Description
This introduction course is intended for those who have little or no experience with computers. This course involved the basics of computing and how to use Microsoft Windows XP.
You will be taught with the physical features of computers, how to use My Computer and Explorer in Windows XP, understand Windows terminology, customizing and navigating around Windows. We will take you through the inside and outside of a computer, into the operating system, with some basic Windows applications and web browsing using Internet Browser.
Objective
At the end of this course participants should be able to:
- Understand general computing concepts
- Understand the difference between hardware and software, and how each works
- Understand how information networks operate
- Learn the first steps of using a computer, including using the keyboard, mouse, and Windows desktop
- Effectively manage and use files and folders
- Learn how to use the basic Windows applications, including WordPad, NotePad, Task Manager, Calculator, Paint, and Internet Explorer.

7 hours (Full Time) / 9 hours (Part Time)

This course is highly recommended for anyone who works or owns a computer and is a beginner on using a computer and its various applications.
