Course Description

Supervisors are part of the management team in the organisation. They control the activities of others and have the responsibility of carrying out management’s policies and intentions by leading the group and the control. It makes sense therefore to give them a good start by introducing them to their new position by placing them on this course and giving them a head start.
 

Objective

At the end of this course participants should be able to:

  • Clarify roles and responsibilities of the new job
  • Adjust to the new role with confidence and an assurance you can handle the position
  • Develop a technique for making sure you give employees instruction that are clear and understood
  • Identify some techniques to deal with employees challenge such as squabbles, complaints and laziness
  • Recognize the importance of being visible and available to employees
  • Understand the importance of developing relationship with employees and peers, so you are seen fair and consistent

Course Duration

14 hours (Full Time) / 15 hours (Part Time)

This course would be suitable for managers, supervisors, and team leaders in practice or anyone who has staff reporting to him / her.
