Course Description
In this new course, participants will be taught with the basic functions and new features of PowerPoint 2007. Students will learn to create presentations within the new PowerPoint 2007 layout using the new functions available for inserting text, graphics, WordArt, tables, charts, and diagrams. With PowerPoint 2007 more new features and functions, they will be taught on how to edit and format slide content, apply custom animations, transition effects and background sounds to create powerful and animated presentations.
Objective
At the end of this course participants should be able to:
- Understand what Ribbons, Office button and Quick Access toolbar is all about in Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007
- Use the office assistant and Help functions in Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007.
- Create and know how to navigate PowerPoint 2007 environment, select text, and editing data.
- Apply various formatting styles on text.
- Use the proofing tools and grammar check in presentations.
- Insert Charts and table to present data effectively.
- Insert objects (clipart, sound file and pictures) and apply animation effects to create animated presentations.
- Use presentation templates to improve and standardise presentation formats.

Target Audience
Existing computer users who are migrating from Microsoft Office 2003 to 2007 or non – IT savvy persons interested to learn the basic features of PowerPoint 2007 to create effective presentations by using the drawing tools, clip art, WordArt, charts, and tables. You need little or no experience using PowerPoint.
