Essentials of Management Skills
Course Description
This is an introductory module to the various essential skills required by all supervisory and administrative staff. This module aims to provide participants an overview of the management function and its role in organizations. It also introduces participant to different ways of integrating effective time management techniques into their daily processes, how to enhance self awareness and make emotions work for you to build a more effective work-relationships – professionally and personally through Emotional Intelligence (EQ). Students will also gain exposure to negotiating techniques with a focus on Communication, Closing techniques and Personal growth and intuition.
Course Objectives
By the end of the course, participants would be able to:
- Identify the basic principles of management and the different functions of managing
- Identify the various strategies that will most likely be compatible with their style of negotiating
- Recognize the importance and impact “Emotional Intelligence” have on their professional development and career
- Manage their daily processes and routines effectively and efficiently

28 hours (Full Time) / 27 hours (Part Time)
